We've adapted the Incident Command System, used globally by emergency responders, for use when managing technical incidents. In this course, we cover basic incident response concepts, roles, terminology, and adoption strategies you can use in tandem with the open-source framework to create, customize, and implement your own incident response process leveraging industry-leading practices. This course provides an introduction to ICS as a basis for other PDU incident response courses.

Building on ICS 101, Incident Command System 201 dives deeper into the various roles, responsibilities, and documentation necessary to support your incident response process. This course provides both hands-on practice exercises and in-depth details on scaling incident command to your organizational size, setting up efficient on-call rotations, and navigating common pitfalls when selecting and training Incident Commanders and other supporting roles.
