Lashinsky is the author of 2017 book Wild Ride: Inside Uber’s Quest for World Domination, and the 2012 bestseller Inside Apple: How America’s Most Admired—and Secretive—Company Really Works. A native of Chicago and a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Lashinsky was based in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Tokyo before moving to California 20 years ago.
