What is PagerDuty Summit San Francisco?

Summit20 is a three-day conference where digital operations leaders, influencers, and developers from all over the world meet and share their learning. We bring together some of the best and brightest of the business to share ideas, be inspired by world-class keynote speakers, hear about the journey into real-time digital ops, and grow their partnership with PagerDuty.

 

Where is Summit San Francisco?

PagerDuty Summit San Francisco will be at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square located at 333 O'Farrell St, San Francisco, CA 94102.

 

How do I make hotel reservations?

PagerDuty has arranged a room block at the Summit venue, Hilton Union Square in San Francisco, for Summit attendees. Space is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please reserve your hotel room during the registration process to ensure you receive the Summit room rate. Room rates start at $349/night.

 

What are the conference dates?

Summit San Francisco begins with PagerDuty University (PDU) and access to the Expo on Monday, September 21 and concludes on Wednesday, September 23 with a Closing Reception. PagerDuty University requires an add-on registration to PagerDuty Summit and you can register for PDU during the Summit registration process.

 

Who is attending Summit 2020?

In 2019, attendance included DevOps professionals from 11 different countries and from industries such as financial services, business services, healthcare/medical, government, communications (media and tele- com), retail, technology, and more. Expect to meet other PagerDuty customers as well as our partners and industry experts.

Group Discount Rate

There’s strength in numbers! Groups registering for Summit San Francisco from the same company can benefit from a “buy three, get two free” offer. Select this option during the registration process and please be prepared to register your full group. 

 

International Discount Rate

Attendees travel from all over the globe to attend Summit San Francisco and we understand international travel costs can be expensive. To assist with this, Summit San Francisco offers international attendees a discounted rate of $399 per registration. There is no deadline for this rate.

 

What is the payment policy?

PagerDuty accepts all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express) as well as checks. Payment is required before the event. If payment has not been received before your arrival at the event, you will be required to pay with a major credit card when you pick up your badge.

 

Is PagerDuty University (PDU) Training offered this year?

Yes! There will be a full day of PagerDuty University on Monday, September 21, 2020 as well as opportunities to take PDU classes throughout Summit San Francisco. PDU is an add-on to your Summit registration. The cost to attend, which includes training materials, is $499 ($699 after June 30). Seats are limited, so reserve your spot early. More about PDU.

 

What is included in the price of Summit admission? The full conference pass fee includes:

  • Admission to all conference sessions, workshops and keynotes 
  • Conference meals and networking breaks
  • Access to Expo Hall and all PagerDuty and partner exhibits
  • Complimentary Internet access at the conference
  • Welcome Reception on Monday, September 21, 2020, Closing Reception on September 23, 2020
  • Customer Appreciation Party on Tuesday, September 22, 2020
  • Eligibility to join Birds of a Feather discussion groups and luncheon panels
  • Access to networking areas, including but not limited to Recharge Lounges, Silent Mode quiet room, On-Call room, and semi private meeting spaces.

 

What is not included in the price of Summit admission? 

  • PagerDuty University (this is a registration add-on) 
  • Guest Passes (this is a registration add-on)
  • Parking 
  • Sleeping rooms at Hilton Union Square (separate rate of $349/night.)

 

What is the cancellation and substitution policy?

Registrations are transferable, but not refundable. Please see the transfer/substitution policy below for cancellations by attendee. If PagerDuty feels that in the best interests and safety of our attendees there is a need to cancel Summit San Francisco, attendees will be informed immediately after the decision to cancel is made. In the event of a cancellation, PagerDuty will refund the purchase price for admission to Summit San Francisco.

 

Transfer/Substitution Policy

  • Registrant substitution requests must be sent in writing to Summit@pagerduty.com and must be made by the original registrant.  
  • Substitutions will be permitted only between individuals from the same company.
  • Substitutions cannot be made on-site or authorized by anyone other than the original registrant.
  • If you are substituting for another person and you do not qualify for their discounted rate, you will be given the rate you qualify under at the time the original person registered. The registration fee will not be refunded, but will be transferred to pay for the registration fee of the new attendee.  

 

What is the conference attire?

The conference attire is business casual.

 

What is the weather like in San Francisco in September?

I’ve already registered for Summit. How can I add a hotel reservation or make changes to my existing hotel reservation?

Once registered, you can make any changes to your registration via the Summit 2020 website. For changes to your hotel, please contact the hotel directly via the reservation link or by calling (415) 771-1400. If you have additional questions, please contact the Summit Registration Team at Summit@pagerduty.com.

  

I have 5 or more people from my company attending Summit San Francisco. How can we receive the group discount?

A “Buy 3, Get 2 Free” offer will be given to groups from the same company attending the conference. You can select this option during the registration process. Simply Select “Buy 3, Get 2 Free” as your “Registration Type” and register all of your attendees for the discounted amount.  

 

I’m on a tight budget. What kind of conference discounts are offered?

There are plenty of opportunities to save on registration costs for Summit San Francisco. 

  • Register before June 30 and receive the Early Bird rate of $399. 
  • Do you have a group of five or more coming to the event? Register three attendees and bring two for free! 
  • If you are attending from outside of the United States, you are eligible for the evergreen International rate of $399.

Will the event be filmed and photographed?

Yes. We’ll have videographers and photographers on-site to record the action at Summit San Francisco. By entering and being at this event, you consent to be filmed and photographed. From time to time, PagerDuty uses recorded video and photographs of conference events and attendees in its promotional materials. By virtue of your attendance, all conference visitors agree to the use of your likeness in such materials. You understand that all videography and photography will be done in reliance on the consent you give by entering the event.

 

Is there a Code of Conduct for attendees? 

Yes. Summit San Francisco is a community conference intended for networking and collaboration in the PagerDuty community. We value the participation of each member of the PagerDuty community and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees throughout the conference and at all conference events, whether officially sponsored by PagerDuty or not. To make clear what is expected, all delegates/attendees, speakers, exhibitors, organizers and volunteers at any PagerDuty event are required to conform to the Code of Conduct. PagerDuty reserves the right to take appropriate action for violations of the Code of Conduct, including warning, expulsion from the conference with no refund, or legal action

 

Will attendee badges be scannable or trackable at Summit San Francisco?

Yes. 

  • Badge Scanning at Sponsor/Exhibitor Booths: Sponsors/Exhibitors may wish to scan your badge so they can contact you with more information. PagerDuty uses a third party vendor to provide badge scanning services to sponsors/exhibitors who request it. By allowing a sponsor/exhibitor to scan your badge you are consenting to have the third party vendor provide the sponsor/exhibitor with your contact information, and thereafter you may be contacted by the sponsor/exhibitor post-event.
     
  • Beacons in Sessions / Expo Areas: In addition, we may use beacon technology connected to your badge to track your location in meeting rooms / session areas and in the exhibitor hall.  We use this information to improve logistics at future events and to better understand each attendee’s interests. This information will not be shared.
