What is PagerDuty Summit?
Summit20 is a virtual conference where digital operations leaders, influencers, and developers from all over the world meet and share their learning. We bring together some of the best and brightest of the business to share ideas, be inspired by world-class keynote speakers, hear about the journey into real-time digital ops, and grow their partnership with PagerDuty.
Where is Summit20?
Originally planned as an in-person event, PagerDuty Summit will be virtual this year!
What is the conference date?
Summit20 will be a four day event beginning on Monday, September 21 and concluding on Thursday, September 24. Each day will have content between 9:00 am PT - 2:00 pm PT.
How much does Summit20 cost?
The virtual conference is free.
Is PagerDuty University (PDU) Training offered this year?
Yes! PagerDuty University will be on Thursday, September 24, 2020. In response to the global health crisis, we are offering PDU courses for free as a part of your Summit20 registration. Please note PDU will only be offered during the live event and courses will not be available in the on-demand portion.
Who attends Summit20?
In 2019, attendance included DevOps professionals from all over the world from industries such as financial services, business services, healthcare/medical, government, communications (media and tele- com), retail, technology, and more. Expect to meet other PagerDuty customers as well as our partners and industry experts.
Can I get an attendee list?
Unfortunately we are unable to share our attendee list, but you can network and make connections within the event chats.
Will I still be able to network with other attendees?
Yes, you will have the opportunity to chat with other attendees throughout the event in our Networking Center, Expo Hall, and in internactive sessions, trainings, workshops and more.
Will I need to be "camera-ready"?
No, as much as we'd love to see your smiling faces attendees will not be on video during the event. The only exception to this would be if you participate in PagerDuty University, as some of the courses offered will have interactive breakouts where you will have the option to be on camera.
How do I ask a question during the event?
You can send any questions in the chat and our moderators will respond during live Q&A segments and/or as soon as possible.
How do I access Summit20?
Prior to the event, you will receive an email with a unique code that is specific to your registration. Please click on this link to activate your registration and gain access to the event portal. On event days, you can log-in to the conference up to 10 minutes before the 9:00 am PT start time. Following the live conference, Summit content will be available for six weeks.
Will Summit20 be available on-demand after the live event on September 21-24, 2020?
Yes, it will be hosted on-demand.
Can I download any assets from the event?
Yes, we will have a resource center where downloads will be available.
Who do I contact if I'm having technical issues with the event platform?
In most cases, refreshing the page will do the trick. If you have more substantial issues such as a broken link or no audio, we will have support teams available via chat to help troubleshoot in real time.
Is there a Code of Conduct for attendees?
Yes. Summit20 is a community conference intended for networking and collaboration in the PagerDuty community. Whether we're in-person or virtual, we value the participation of each member of the PagerDuty community and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees throughout the conference and at all conference events, whether officially sponsored by PagerDuty or not. To make clear what is expected, all delegates/attendees, speakers, exhibitors, organizers and volunteers at any PagerDuty event are required to conform to the Code of Conduct. PagerDuty reserves the right to take appropriate action for violations of the Code of Conduct, including warning, expulsion from the conference, or legal action.
Will my information be shared with sponsors?
We do not share all attendee information with our Sponsors. However, information will be shared if an attendee participates in the following activities: attend a sponsored session, visit a sponsor booth in the Expo Hall, and/or download resources provided by a sponsor. Information will only be shared with the sponsor who hosted the session/booth/resource.
By participating in the aforementioned activities, you are consenting to have the third
party vendor provide the sponsor with your contact information, and thereafter
you may be contacted by the sponsor/exhibitor post-event.
VIRTUAL PLATFORM SPECIFIC FAQS
How do I access the sessions?
Click on ‘sessions’ in the top navigation bar. When a session is available to enter the ‘add to calendar’ button will switch to a ‘live’, ‘early entrance’, or ‘on-demand’ button that you can click to enter. If you see a black box where the video should be please disable your pop-up blocker and refresh.
I missed a session, or I’d like to re-watch one – will they be available? When and how do I access them?
Sessions will be available at the completion of each day. They are accessible from the session page in this platform for six weeks following the event by clicking ‘on-demand’.
The times listed in the agenda seem incorrect, it says that they are in PT?
Your profile time zone defaults to PT. If you have updated it there, your session times will display in your correct time zone instead of PT as stated at the top of the page.
I’m in a session or sponsor booth and the video box is black and won’t play?
This is generally because of a pop-up blocker. Please disable yours and refresh. If that please ensure that you are logging in from either Chrome, Firefox or Edge and that is it up to date.
I can see the video but I don’t hear anything?
Hover your mouse over the video box and a speaker will appear in the bottom left, make sure your volume is up. Also check that your computer is set to send audio to the correct speakers.
I’m having trouble connecting to chats/sessions.
Please ensure that you are logging in from either Chrome, Firefox or Edge and that is it up to date with the pop-up blocker disabled.
I fulfilled the requirements for a badge and it didn’t show?
Some of them take a few minutes to populate. If you don’t see it in 5 minutes please refresh and check your profile. If you still don’t have it please say hello in the live tech support so we can assist you. Please know we cannot manually populate badges but will try to confirm why it hasn’t captured you.
